[2024 National Science and Technology Activity Week] Nikola Technology Brought Scientific and Technological Innovation Achievements to Appear at the Beijing Science and Technology Week Main Venue Science and Technology Innovation Exhibition on Behalf of the National Fire and Rescue Administration

2024 National Science and Technology Activity Week

The 2024 National Science and Technology Activity Week and Beijing Science and Technology Week Main Venue Exhibition, hosted by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Central Publicity Department and the China Association for Science and Technology, was grandly held from May 25 to June 1 at Hall 11 of Shougang Park, Shijingshan District. With the theme of "Carrying Forward the Spirit of Scientists, Stimulating the Innovation Vitality of the Whole Society", the exhibition area included the science and technology innovation exhibition and the special exhibition on the spirit of scientists.

The immersive enhanced perception experience platform and CPR MR mixed reality skill training system jointly developed by Guangdong Nikola Energy Technology Co., Ltd. and the Tianjin Fire Research Institute of the Ministry of Emergency Management stood out from more than 200 scientific and technological innovation achievements nationwide, and appeared at Hall 11 of Shougang Park as scientific and technological innovation products representing the National Fire and Rescue Administration, attracting widespread attention.

Among them, the company's exhibited products, the "Natural Disaster and Fire Self-Rescue Training Experience System" and the "CPR MR Mixed Reality Skill Training System", were particularly eye-catching. The scene was crowded with people, and visitors lined up in long queues, making them one of the most popular exhibits on site. Leaders of central ministries, the general public, fire rescue teams and fire industry professionals all stopped to experience, exchange and discuss. CCTV, CCTV Chinese International Channel, People's Daily Online, Beijing TV, China Youth Daily, Science and Technology Daily, Beijing Science and Technology News, Beijing Daily and other mainstream media gave comprehensive reports. Among them, Beijing TV conducted a special interview and report on the two products exhibited by the company on behalf of the Fire and Rescue Department of the Ministry of Emergency Management!

Immersive Enhanced Perception Experience Platform: Technology Safeguarding Life

At the site, experiencers can watch vivid and interesting science popularization animations played on the screen, while the motion platform under their feet begins to simulate various natural disaster effects, including multiple movements such as rising, falling, tilting and pitching. The platform can not only simulate the vibration effects of earthquakes, but also simulate scenes such as typhoons and toxic gas leakage, allowing visitors to deeply feel the power of natural disasters through real experiences of wind, spraying and shaking. At the same time, the platform is also equipped with a high-rise fire escape VR experience system, which can simulate micro-environments such as thick smoke and heat at fire scenes. During this process, visitors can immersively learn the signs before disasters such as earthquakes, typhoons, floods and fires, how to identify disasters, and how to avoid danger and rescue themselves when encountering disasters.

CPR MR Mixed Reality Skill Training System: Grasping the Pulse of Life

In addition, our CPR MR mixed reality skill training system also attracted much attention. Relying on self-developed chips, the system realizes precise communication between the simulation manikin and MR glasses, integrates gesture recognition technology with seamless connection to the virtual environment, enabling trainees to practice real skills in the virtual environment. The system contains five modules of teaching, learning, practicing, testing and evaluating, covering four major scenarios of electric shock, drowning, fire suffocation and traffic accidents. Combined with the four major emergency rescue techniques, it comprehensively strengthens trainees' emergency rescue capabilities. At the exhibition site, our project explainers popularized the steps and skills of CPR to the public through product experience, video screening, on-site explanation and other methods, helping to save lives and build a safer and healthier society.
